Jack points on pinch plate. Thats crazy given its a mazda recommended lift point. It does not define the central jack points for a hydraulic jack but the service manual does.

The central lift point for the rear is the bottom of the differential pumpkin.

If by flattening you mean just in the area where the jack saddle hits then you may instead use a board to distribute the force over a larger area of the crossmember instead of just at the jack saddle.

The cx 9 owner manual defines the 4 side jacking points for the mazda jack.

If you resign yourself to having to use another location on the pinch plate then the process is relatively straight forward.
See if there is another mazda 36cx 3 or 5 from the same model year range that still had the jack.
Theres generally more clearance here but with stiffener bars and other sus pension components its still good to have a low profile jack.
